After a few losses in my family and hearing/seeing the increasing number of negative or horrific news stories about the current state of our world and the societies within it, I needed to know if there was still Hope for us. I wanted to know if the world we’re leaving our children has a chance to be better than it is now, or if it will continue to spiral out of control. Not to say everything is only grim and despair, but sometimes, you have to wonder where our current path is taking us.
So, I got the idea of creating this site to collect stories from anywhere in the world and from any publication in the world that would tell us there is still Hope out there. I’ll pick stories objectively that adhere to the positive aspects of Hope.
Maybe if enough people read them, then they will be reminded that there is Hope for us if we cherish and embody these stories of Selflessness, Good Samaritans, Local Hero, Kindness, Appreciation, Gratitude, and of Heartwarming moments and moments of Courage. Then maybe they will walk away with a little more Hope which they could spread to others in their communities – in kind of a ”Pay it forward” theme. I know this alone won’t ”Save the World,” nor is that what I’m really trying to do. As I said, I needed stories like these to give myself Hope. If it makes a difference at all, then that is an added bonus.
And if nobody reads them, then at least the stories could be uplifting for my family.
This site is still in development, so please bear with me through any changes. I also intend to implement more capabilities for visitors of the site, such as leaving comments and even submitting their own stories or articles to add to the collection.
